This is an online project I have been apart of for 12 years! Every year, different classes around the globe join in the project and we set forth to build a monster!
Each participating class is only allowed 12 words to describe a body part of the monster. Once all the descriptions come in, we have to build a monster using only the descriptions we have from all the other classes.
That's where it gets tricky! Some things are hard to build when the descriptions say "hairy, spikey, big and tall"! So we synthesize the information and do the best we can to interpret what the other class meant by their description.
Then each class takes a picture of their completed monster and we compare them all to each to determine which description was the best.
October 26th. Monster building day!
We had so much fun building the monster. There was so much great conversation going on between everyone as they figured out how to create what those 12 little words were describing. Check out the pictures below of the monster workers hard at work!

Here are the pictures of our monster art that we created in art class with Mrs. Coleman.

We also read a book and rewrote the words to act out in Drama with Mrs. Wilans and then we sang a song in music with Mrs. Dickson.
